Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day with my dearest Patricia Lin.¬†We decided to just stay in and have a nice private dinner in my room. I tried my best to make it fancy.

For dinner, I made seafood paella (thanks to my dad for the recipe), served alongside some chilled white wine. Pretty tasty, if I may say so myself. Pictures of the process and product below.

Ingredients: Chicken quarters (deboned), Goya yellow rice, onion, garlic, red peppers, chorizo, mussels, shrimp, scallops, bacalhua fillet, chicken broth, saffron, salt, and pepper.

We had a pretty good night. Shenanigans!

Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth

You might find Nabil.

Just playing around with vignetting and color correction in my free time. Needs a bit of work. Tell me what you think.

Credit to Darwin for the last shot. It’s quite nice.

OWS Photoshop

A few weeks ago, my dad and I went to Wall Street to check out OWS. It was a little more festive than I had imagined it would be; food was being served, live music was playing, and of course there was the characteristic chanting of a protester’s rally. I took a few pictures here and there, but the park was quite dark so I didn’t get many good photos. I’ll post them up soon, but for now, I’ll show you a few that I played with on Photoshop. Nothing special, just some lighting adjustments and a brush filter. I’ve posted the originals as well so you can compare. Tell me what you think!
