Puzzle: Einstein’s Riddle

13 Mar

I saw this on the New York Times’ website and thought I’d share it. I love puzzles like this: they’re reminiscent of my AT class in fifth grade. According to the article, only about 2% of the world’s population will be able to solve Einstein’s Riddle. I don’t know how accurate that claim is because it seemed pretty easy: I solved it in about half an hour with very little frustration. Well, I think I did. My answer could be completely wrong, in which case I’d feel like an idiot. Regardless, enjoy.

should we assume that the fish is indeed a fifth pet? if so, I agree that this was pretty easy to solve

I felt so bad doing this. I kept fucking up at first, and I was like what the hell’s going on… then I realized I was getting the Japanese and the Chinese woman mixed up…

Your racism is getting in the way of your puzzle solving abilities. Dan, I think you have a problem.
